Bio:
I started my career as a musician as a singer in a few Punkbands first. Jamming for hours In Driebergen somewhere in some garagebox the years passed by. After that i discovered the illegal party-scene where i first heared Drum&bass and Jungle-music, it made me wanting to experiment with it in some way to get my singing involved in it so i first started to pay attention on how other mc’s did the job.Some time later i was at the Structure-party organized by the Utrecht Massive crew where i heared Mc Chakra doing his things, it made me realise that this is the thing i’m also able to do and want. I stepped up to the man to ask him if i could give it a shot myself spitting those lines through the mic. “Not here but but in Amersfoort ‘’ his awnser was because of some party going on 3 weeks later. ‘’If you think you can do it then give it a try and prove you are worth it’’ he said. So 3 weeks later i went on tot hat party with quite some self-confidence, when i arrived Mc Chakra was kinda surpriced that i did show up because he didn’t expect me to. After a good conversation and smoking some pot together the music was getting started so Chakra told me to grab the mic, i was jamming fora about 10 minutes when the people from the party gave me a big cigar and a glass of Whiskey and welcomed me into the world of music.
After that night things really where going on for me, because of knowing Chakra i quickly got to know many more people involved in the scene for example Levi (El Maria) and Tommy (Chillum) where i started the Cultural Evolution crew with not very long after we first met. It was our first Drum&bass-crew trying to put some things toghether under the Cultural Evolution name. We hooked up with the people from Chezbebe, a local club located in Utrecht to do some drum&bass-parties for about a year. While things were going on i managed to hook up with Chakra again to host some Utrecht Massive-parties toghether and things became more and more from that point on. The first Festival we did was called Dwergpop @ Driebergen wich was great fun.
Later that same year i did a lot of performances with the Utrecht Massive crew still sending in mixtapes we did with our own Cultural Evolution crew to get something bigger going on within the Utrecht Massive-crew. Some time later the Utrecht Massive crew asked us to join forces with our Cultural Evolution night and from there on things were really moving on for me.
Hagenbass (a crew from The Hague) and Reactor (also from The Hague) asked me to become their resident-mc at every party they were throwing around the globe. That’s how i got my name promoted in the scene a lot and i was performing for bigger and bigger crowds every time again.
In my first year of Mc-ing i got nominated as best upcoming MC at the Dutch DNB Awards and i finished in second place, the year after that i got nominated as best upcoming Mc and best MC but i never won the first place price. After the Dutch D&B-Awards i really got asked for a lot of gigs and from then i also started doing shows with big players in the game (Paul B for example) wich i did for a long time traveling allover Europe doing my things.
Some time ago Dubstep was really starting to breakthrough as an individual music-genre and i immediately fell in love with the sound of it. I hooked up with people like G-Selector and Osiris to start spreading the never heard before Dubstep-sounds allover Holland and abroad, those guys delivered me a lot of gigs allover Europe inside the Dubstep-scene and it brought me onto stages with big names like Coki, Pinch, M.R.K.1, Plastician, Benga and Dj Chef. From there i met the guys from StrikeBack and here we are now, kickin it live and direct everytime again throwing down parties allover Europe and abroad
